These delicious homemade Chicken Tikka Wraps surely reminded us of chicken wraps from back home.
Ingredients
- 750 gms boneless chicken thighs (cut into 1 inch thick pieces)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Marinade
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
- 6-7 tbsp hung curd
- 1/2 tsp ajwain (carom) seeds crushed by hand to get better flavour
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 4 tbsp oil mixed with 1 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
- 1 1/2 - 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt (salt to taste)
Instructions
- Cut, wash, drain chicken. Add salt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste & keep for 30 min
- Soak the skewers for 30 mins
- Add marinade ingredients & leave for minimum 30 to 2 hours. You can also marinate overnight in the fridge
- Preheat the oven to 450F
- Place the chicken on skewers & place in oven on middle rack for 10 mins each side (basting each side in between). Then broil at 550F for 30 seconds on the top rack
- Remove & keep aside
Assembling the wrap
- On a Paratha, apply coriander & mint chutney then add cabbage salad.
- Place 4-5 pieces of chicken tikka, drizzle curd sauce on top & roll Paratha to wrap it with parchment paper or foil & serve.
Yogurt/Curd Sauce
- 12 tbsp curd
- 2 tsp Roasted cumin powder
- 2-3 tbsp chopped parsley leaves
- Salt to taste
- Mix & keep in the fridge to cool
Cabbage Salad
- 1 cup Shredded cabbage
- 1 Medium sliced onion
- 1 Medium tomato sliced (Remove seeds)
- 2 tbsp chopped parley leaves
- Mix & add salt to taste
