Give your leftovers Sannas a yummy twist with this Masala Fried Sannas recipe.
Ingredients
- 10 Sannas (Idlis) Refrigerated
- 2 tbsp coconut oil or regular cooking oil
- 1/2 medium onion finely chopped
- 2 tsp MTR Idli/Dosa/Chilly Chutney Powder
- 1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 10 curry leaves
- 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves chopped
Instructions
- Heat oil, add mustard. When it starts to sputter add cumin, asafoetida & curry leaves
- Add onions & fry until translucent
- Lower the flame add Kashmiri chilly powder, turmeric & green chillies & fry for 30 seconds
- Add chutney powder & fry for 30 seconds
- Add 1/4 cup hot water & stir to mix well
- Add Idlis directly from fridge & coat them well with masala, cover and cook for 1 minute on medium flame.
- Remove the cover and fry the Idlis until water has completely dried
- Remove from flame
- Garnish with coriander leaves
