This traditional Mangalorean style Radish Stir Fry recipe is quick and delicious. Goes perfectly well with chapatis and is my husband’s favourite vegetable stir fry.

Radish Stir Fry

Serves: 4 Prep Time: 15 Minutes Cooking Time: 15 Minutes 15 Minutes

Ingredients

  •  1 large Radish with leaves (sliced into thin quarters)
  • 1 large red onion chopped fine
  • 1 green chilly slit
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Grated coconut (optional)
For Tempering (optional)
  • Oil
  • 1/4 tsp mustard
  • 2 -3 garlic cloves crusheddish.

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoon coconut oil
  2. Add chopped onions, green chilly and fry for 1-2 minutes until onions start to become translucent.
  3. Add radish leaves and fry for 1 minute
  4. Add chopped radish, salt and fry for 1 minute
  5. Add grated coconut (optional)
  6. Cover and cook for another 1 minute.
  7. Mix and remove from heat.
  8. If desired you can add tempering on top. For tempering, heat a small pan and add 1 tbsp oil, mustard, crushed garlic and fry until garlic is brown then add to the ra
